The Campfire Blend has become a Summer & Fall favorite for our coffee family. This Custom Blend exhibits layers of deep sweetness, an exceptionally syrupy body and a well-balanced acidity. We parked this blend somewhere in the Med-Dark range of the roast spectrum to produce deeper notes of toasted marshmallow, spice, nutty chocolate, and a molasses type sweetness. This unique coffee has all around appeal and tastes great across all roast levels and brew methods.
About these coffees
This women’s lot from Mexico is the cooperative Campesinos Ecológicos de la Sierra Madre de Chiapas (CESMACH), which was founded in 1994. CESMACH’s long-term success is rooted in their guiding principles which aim to strike a balance between developing social programs and building a competitive business. Conservation of natural resources and strong values of respect, loyalty, democracy, and non-discrimination are pillars of the cooperative. CESMACH farmers live in the buffer zone of the El Triunfo biosphere where organic coffee farming is strongly promoted in the delicate cloud forest habitat. As a result, more than sixty percent of the organization’s members are certified.
The Brazil in this amazing blend is a Bellwether exclusive lot that comes from producers in Cerrado Mineiro, Brazil. This lot is fully traceable as part of the Regiao Cerrado Mineiro Designation of Origin program. Coffees certified with the Designation of Origin are grown on farms in an area encompassing 55 municipalities that produce coffees with a unique identity, resulting from the combination of climate, soil, terrain, elevation, and the “know-how” of producers. The producers belong to one of nine cooperatives or six associations affiliated with the Cerrado Coffee Growers Federation, have signed a statement of good practices in accordance with Brazilian labor laws, and store coffee in accredited warehouses post-harvest.
