Why we love it: This is the best medium roast coffee with a silky, sweet, and creamy taste and mellow acidity. From the roaster: Not quite dark enough to fulfill our Dark Side Blend expectations, we couldn’t let this beautiful medium roast coffee blend fade into a fond memory. The Colorado Morning Blend is parked somewhere between a mid-range roast and a dark coffee, one of my favorite all-around Blends and close to my heart. I will always be a Cali Kid but I have enjoyed Colorado for over 20 years, finding my true love and growing my family here. I am securely rooted. Do yourself a solid, brew some of this up and enjoy a sunrise wherever you are, with someone you love.

The impact: The mill used by Atilano Giraldo reprocesses the pulp to later use as organic fertilizer, and water from processing is recycled in drainage tanks before being returned to natural waterways. Don Atilano has also implemented special programs for women on the farm, and groups of women pickers are always assigned to groups closer to the farm and in the least steep areas, to minimize the distances they need to walk and the weight they need to carry. In addition, the farm provides very well-maintained camps for the pickers and "excellent" meals each day.
